Santorini island Nightlife

Going out in the evening in Santorini is like a fairy tale. Twinkling lights over the Caldera and the reflection of the full moon in the dark waters make for a magical atmosphere. Fira heads the nightlife section – many bars and cafes are actually on the caldera, whilst others, as well as the large clubs, are tucked into the quaint cobbled streets weaving through the town.  Even in tourist resorts by the sea there is a wide choice of bars and nightclubs . Despite a good choice of entertainment, Santorini is a fairly romantic island for couples, does not offer a nightlife of Mykonos or Kos.

Wet stories and Jo-Jo clubs are located on the beach in Perivolos beach, offer great music, guest dj’s, both places are popular with tourists from all over the world and all ages. The music is very high and party starts at noon at goes on till 10 pm or so. Chilli Stories is another beach bar in Perivolos, in addition to dance music you can dance modern Greek music since the place is frequented by many Greeks.

Tranquillo beach bar is another nice place offering Latino music and theme evening till late. In Fira there are several disco-pub and clubs, but there are very strict law about  music level after midnight, so most of the clubs are indoor. One of the most famous is Trip in the Music and the Tropical. The small disco-pubs generally do not charge entry, while the biggest one will charge you for the entrance that will include the first drink.

Among the discos, the main and most popular are: Koo Club and Enigma. They offer a very refined atmosphere with indoor and outdoor part for clubbing. Kira Thira Jazz bar is a historical place to go out in Santorini.  Live performances and jazz music in a easy going place.
